Zimmer Watch: Bears Coaching Search adds 13th Candidate not Named Mike Zimmer

According to Profootbaltalk.com, the Chicago Bears are planning one interviewing former San Francisco 49ers Head Coach and current Vikings Linebackers Coach Mike Singletary, as well as Bears special-teams coordinator Dave Toub, Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements, Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman, Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, Falcons special-teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan, Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, Cowboys special-teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis,  , and Vikings special-teams coordinator Mike Priefer.

That’s 13 names that don’t include Bengals Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer, and with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo  Bills having already named new head coaches, that leaves the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals as the only other teams looking for a new HC, and Zimmer’s name has yet to be linked to any of those openings.

The likelihood of him remaining in Cincinnati continues to grow, but all it takes is one team to show interest in Zim before they realize what a great HC he could be, and then he’s gone with the wind.
