AFC North: Browns hire Norv Turner, Interview Raheem Morris

The Cleveland Browns clearly believe they are an offensively-strong team, given the young corp of players they have, including Trent Richardson, Josh Gordon, Brandon Weeden, and a solid offensive line. This heldped lead them to hiring a strong offensive mind inPanthers Offensive Coordinator Rob Chudzinski as their new head coach. Now the Browns have added one of the better offensive coordinators out there in former Chargers Head Coach Norv Turner.

Say what you will about his shortcomings as an NFL head coach, but his abilities as an OC have led three different teams to hire him as their HC.

The team also announced several other hirings, including Brad Roll (Strength & Conditioning), Mike Sullivan (Offensive Line) and Scott Turner (Wide Receivers). The Browns will also retain Chris Tabor (Special Teams Coordinator) and George Warhop (Offensive Line) from last year’s staff.

The Browns will also interview Redskins defensive-backs coach Raheem Morris for their defensive coordinator position. Morris was the head coach of the Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011, going 17-31 in his three seasons there.
