The Baltimore Ravens may be regretting not giving QB Joe Flacco a long-term contract extension before the season began, because his play in the playoffs has raised his price tag significantly. He’s thrown eight touchdown passes and zero interceptions, and according to ESPN Stats & Information, he has a shot to tie or break hall-of-famer Joe Montana’s record for most TD passes without throwing an INT in a single postseason. Montana threw 11 TDs without getting picked off in the 1989 postseason.

Flacco also leads all QBs with 853 postseason passing yards, nearly 200 more than “the great” Tom Brady, who he’s now outplayed in consecutive AFC title games. Patriots safety Steve Gregory has taken notice, and had these comments after Sunday’s game:

During Sunday’s AFC Championship game, Patriots fans taunted Torrey Smith about his dead brother, who was killed in a motorcycle crash earlier this year.
