NFL News: Jets to Explore Trading Darrelle Revis. Any Takers?

The New York Jets have once again found ways to stay relevant in the headlines, despite being irrelevant on the field, as they’re going to consider trading All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis. Widely regarded as the league’s best CB, Revis is coming off of season ending knee surgery, and is in the middle of a long and strenuous rehab process, making the market fro him very dry Jets Owner Woody Johnson wants to deal him now though before he becomes a free agent in a year, and with the team so pressed against the salary cap, perhaps a team under the cap and close to becoming a Super Bowl contender will explore such a trade.

The NFL has fined New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady $10000 for his slide into Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. Brady reportedly later apologized to Reed via text.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles were considering Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin in their coaching search before ultimately signing Chip Kelly.

The Oakland Raiders have hired former Jets Offensive coordinator Tony Sparano as the teams’ new offensive line coach.
