The Bengals will certainly be looking to add a runningback in the upcoming draft, and with the enigmatic play of tight end Jermaine Gresham, it wouldn’t be shock to see them draft another TE in the later rounds. As it turns out, they wouldn’t have to look far to find two draftable players at those positions in their own city, as the UC Bearcats will feature several NFL Draft prospects this year, the most noteworthy of which being TE Travis Kelce and RB George Winn, and ESPN Draft Analyst Mel Kiper Jr. believes both will be solid players at the NFL level.
Kelce led the Bearcats in both receiving yards (772) and touchdowns (8) this season:
Right now I’m projecting him [Travis Kelce] as a third [round pick], but with the chance maybe to be a two.
Kelce is a guy — obviously you look at the bloodlines there [Travis’ older brother Jason is the staring center for the Philadelphia Eagles] — where you think about the size that he brings to the table at 6 foot 5 — a big kid that can run. He made some really good catches down the field [where] I thought he adjusted to some poorly thrown balls
