NFL Draft Headlines: Texas’ Kenny Vaccaro Could be Top-5 Pick

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen said that Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel is the likely frontrunner for the  #1-overall pickwhich is currently held by the Kansas City Chiefs, who would likely be better off trading the pick away and acquiring more picks to help new head coach Andy Reid rebuild the franchise as quickly as possible.

Ex-Chiefs Genral Manager Scott Pioli also listed Joeckel as the top underclassman in the draft.

 

In that same article Pioli said Alabama runningback Eddie Lacy should be an every-down back in the NFL. Lacy has seen his stock skyrocket after dominating Notre Dame in the national championship, and could here his named called towards the end of the first-round. He’s also quickly becoming a favorite among Bengals fans, who have longed to see a dynamic  breakaway back since watching Corey Dillon be traded away to the New England Patriots.

 

Mike Mayock said during the Senior Bowl that he is hearing Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel is expected to be selected in the third- or fourth-round This, coming after Manuel earned Senior Bowl MVP honors in the Senior Bowl as he completed 7/10 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown and rushing for a second TD.
