NFL News: Sandy Hook Elementary Students to Sing Prior to Super Bowl

26 students from Sandy Hook Elementary School, where the Newtown shootings occurred which led to the deaths of 20 children and teachers on December 14th, will sing America the Beautiful on Super Bowl Sunday. They’ll sing before Alicia Keys performs the national anthem during the Super Bowl pre-game show.  

 

Impending free agent Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was arrested after police say he assaulted his girlfriend and kept her in his home against her will. This isn’t his first run-in with the law. In April 2010, Hill was arrested by Issaquah police on a fourth-degree assault-domestic violence charge.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver is making Super Bowl headlines for all the wrong reasons after his comments made on a radio show Tuesday in which he said that he would not welcome a gay teammate and said he thought players who were gay should wait until long after they’re retired before revealing that part of themselves.

 

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been searching for a new special teams coach, and they found their man yesterday in the form of Washington Redskins special teams coach Danny Smith.
