New Browns Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton will be implementing his 3-4 defensive scheme this year, but he hasn’t decided how he’ll use defensive end Jabaal Sheard in his 3-4 system. It’s been assumed Sheard will make the transition to outside linebacker. After a dominant rookie campaign in which Sheard started all 16 games and led the team in sacks (8.5) and forced fumbles (5), he took a step back in 2012, notching just seven sacks and one forced fumble, so a position switch might not be the worst thing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been searching for a new special teams coach, and they found their man yesterday in the form of Washington Redskins special teams coach Danny Smith.
