I’m sure you’ve opened up this article in complete bewilderment of the title, with blatant frustration of the notion I have presented, and with the full intent to start an argument in the comment area below.

You have to admit: Wasn’t that title the best joke you’ve heard all day?

Now that I’ve got your attention, shall we address the Bengals linebacker position after all?

The biggest surprise within the Cincinnati Bengals’ organization this year was the play of undrafted rookie Vontaze Burfict, as he replaced an injured Thomas Howard early on in the season.

He ended the season with 127 tackles and was the Bengals best linebacker during the year.

Rey Maualuga is about to become an unrestricted free agent, and the likelihood of Cincinnati resigning him seems small.

And rightfully so, in my opinion.
