Defensive end Glen Steele was the most notable Bengal to ever where the #70 jersey. Steele was selected by the Bengals in the fourth-round of the 1998 NFL Draft with the 105th selection.

Steele would go on to become a solid rotational player with the Bengals. He played in 80 consecutive games with the Bengals between 1999 and 2003 before being released in 2004, which be his final season in the NFL.

He finished his NFL career with 97 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.

In college, Steele was prominent member of 1997 Wolverine squad that won the National Championship. During the 1997 season, Steele recorded 48 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He was named a first-team All-Big Ten, first-team All-American, and was awarded the Dick Katcher Award, which was given annually to signify the Wolverines’ top defensive lineman.
