It’s hard not to go with a player who has an award named after him, as Dave Rimington is not only the greatest Bengal to ever where the #64 jersey, but is regarded as one of the greatest collegiate centers of all time.

Rimington attended the University of Nebraska where he was a consensus First-Team All-America in 1981 and 1982. He also won the Outland Trophy, given to the nation’s top interior offensive or defensive lineman, in both 1981 and ’82. To this day, he is its only two-time winner of that award. For his contributions to the game, the Dave Rimington Trophy was created in his honor, and since 2000, has been given annually to the nation’s top collegiate center.

After an outstanding college career, Rimington was drafted in the first-round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played the next five seasons. He later signed and played with the Philadelphia Eagles before retiring in 1989.
