While the Bengals are set at the quarterback position in regards to who will be starting, they still need a backup QB now that Bruce Gradkowski will become a free agent, and there has been no word yet if they want to re-sign him. While at the NFL Scouting Combine, Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden talked about potentially finding a backup in the later rounds of this years’ NFL Draft:

Two years ago we needed a quarterback and there were seven or eight up there that were pretty high ranked. Last year you had Luck and RG3 and Russell Wilson.
Hopefully they can fit your system, maybe find a system that fits them. With having Andy right now maybe you look at finding someone who can fit the mold behind him if you are going to look for a quarterback to draft here. Either re-sign Bruce or get another guy

I hope they don’t draft another Jack Thompson, the Throwin’ Samoan.
