The Philadelphia Eagles have parted ways with defensive lineman Cullen Jenkinsand David Miniel of NFL Spin Zone broke down the five likeliest landing spots for the former Pro Bowler’s services. The Eagles have also released defensive tackle Mike Patterson,

Jenkins, at age 32, was set to make $5.5 million this season. He would have earned a $1 million bonus if he was on the roster March 15.

Patterson, who began the season on the non-football illness list after surgery to repair a tangle of blood vessels in his brain, has said he wants to continue to play football after missing the entire 2012 season. He is just 29, but was owed a $2.9 million base salary.

New York Giants starting linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka was a candidate to be a salary-cap casualty, but has instead agreed to convert $1.5 million of his 2013 base salary into a signing bonus, freeing up cap space for the cap-strapped Giants.
