The deadline for teams to place the franchise tag on players came and went on Monday. As expected, safety Dashon Goldson was not tagged by the San Francisco 49ers after receiving the tag in 2012. He will now be free to sign with any team, and it already sounds like he won’t be returning to San Fran:
