Reedy also believes it will be hard for the Bengals to sign offensive tackle Andre Smith to a long-term extension because of the commitment they already have on other offensive lineman:
With the contracts already doled out to Andrew Whitworth ($6.750 million cap number in 2013) and Kyle Cook ($3.340 million), how many large contracts can you fit on the offensive line? The Bengals proved last year they could fit three as Smith had a cap number of $8,020,495 million.
Can Anthony Collins become the right tackle if Smith moves on? Maybe, but do you want to gamble with Collins, overpay for another free agent or have to draft a tackle in the first round?
