Kevin Huber & clark Harris Re-Sign as Bengals Keeping Special Teams Unit Intact

While all the focus  this offseason has been free agents Andre Smith, Adam Jones, and Michael Johnson, the Bengals have one key free agent that no one’s been talking about, and that’s punter Kevin Huber. But worry not, as Huber and the Bengals have reached a new deal less than 12 hours away from the start of free agency:

Huber set team records last season for his averages in gross (46.6) and net punting (42.0). His net average ranked fourth in the NFL. This move comes just a day after re-signing special teams ace Cedric Peerman. The Bengals had one of the top ST units in the NFL last season, and if they can re-sign their primary return-man in Adam Jones, they shouldn’t see any dropoff in 2013.

Long-snapper Clark Harris has also been re-signed. He has not had an unplayable snap since taking over the job in 2009.
