Last but not least there is Charles Woodson. Woodson might be the best value out there because he won’t cost an arm and a leg and would more than likely sign a short term deal. Woodson has proven more than effective with his time in Green Bay and if he can stay away from injuries, he might still have some gas left in the tank. Woodson has earned a reputation as a safety with good hands, but not always the fastest guy on the field. In the right position, and for the right money, Woodson could prove to be an effective Pro at safety, meaning a guy whom the younger guys can learn from and correctly learn the position.

Safety is definitely a position the Bengals are in need of and free agency might just be the place to nab the right guy to fit into the Bengals scheme. Again, the Bengals will look for the best player to fit their needs and that player might be in the draft. With a huge salary cap, the Bengals might be able to afford the upside of a solid safety free agent with real NFL experience.
