UPDATE 7:30 PM
Free agent defensive end Michael Bennett has agreed to one-year, $5 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks, who just signed DE Cliff Avril yesterday, and will now sport one of, if not, the best pass-rushing defensive lines in the NFL.
Bennett is just 27-years-old and coming off his best year, racking up 41 tackles, nine sacks and three forced fumbles in sixteen starts at left defensive end.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed have signed Houston Texans linebacker Connor Barwin to a six-year, $36 million contract. Barwin was originally drafted by the Texans after an impressive collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati, where he had 16 starts in 51 games at three different positions (14 at defensive end, one at tight end, one at H-Back). He recorded 66 tackles, 12 sacks, three fumble recoveries, eight deflected passes, five blocked kicks, and 53 receptions for 692 yards and six touchdowns.
Barwin had a great 2011 season when he registered 11.5 sacks and seven defended passes, but struggled in 2012 as he accumulated just three sacks.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to terms with receiver Kevin Ogletree.
New York Jets free agent tight end Dustin Keller is leaving his Dolphins visit without a contract.
