Remember when the Bengals trade linebacker Keith Rivers to the New York Giants for a 5th-round draft pick that was turned into George Iloka? Well, it hasn’t exactly worked out yet for either side. Iloka was relegated to strictly special teams last year, and Rivers only played in 11 games, starting 6, while battling an assortment of injuries.
Still, the Giants have determined they will keep Rivers, as they have agreed to terms on a one-year contract. Hopefully, the former 9th-overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft can finally live to the massive expectations placed upon him when he came out of USC as an All-American.
