In 2012, a lot of the issues the Browns had cam on the offensive side of the ball, so some might think it a bit surprising to see all of their free agency action focused on defense. However, now that the defensive is solidified for 2013, the Browns could potentially focus on grabbing a solid receiver or two.
There’s a change of the guard in place within the AFC North, as the shift of balance seems to be moving from the older veterans of the Steelers and Ravens to that of the young players from the Ohio teams. And with so many departures and losses by Pittsburgh and Baltimore, perhaps that change will be illustrated on the field much more in 2013.
For now, the Browns have to be happy with the progress they’ve made in the last few days, as their Free Agency grade has to be higher than most.
From a Cincinnati fan to those across the state, the Browns have some of the most dedicated fans in the NFL. And I think that the next few years may bring some exciting things to cheer about.
