Free agent safety Bernard Pollard will be signing with Tennessee Titans after he was cut this offseason by the Baltimore Ravens after helping lead them to their second Super Bowl crown in franchise history:
Oh wow, I can’t say enough about Baltimore. They were great to me and my family. I will cherish that experience and the relationships I built with the people there for the rest of my life.
It was unclear if the Ravens were attempting to bring Pollard back on a cheaper deal. He started 15 regular-season games and all four playoff games for the Ravens last season, his second in Baltimore. Last season, he had 71 tackles and an interception despite playing much of the year with six broken ribs.
He is the 6th starter to depart the Ravens this offseason, as Adam Schefter may have just summed it up best:
So Pollard is a Titan, Reed is a Texan, Kruger is a Brown, Ellerbee is a Dolphin, Williams is an Eagle, and Lewis is a colleague.
