The Bengals like every year were silent in free agency. The team has tons of cap room and had the perfect opportunity to snatch 1st team All-Pro Safety Dashon Goldson. Goldson has been quoted in a press conference saying he would be “interested”, in playing at Cincinnati. He has many friends on the team with Nelson, Lawson, Mays, and Clements. Adding Goldson would be a much needed instant upgrade for Cincinnati at the Safety position. Landing a big name free agent, would have been a breath of fresh air for the Cincinnati fan base. But we all know he signed with Tampa Bay and will be another big signing Mike Brown refused to pull the trigger on.

I can understand that the Bengals have a “Build through the draft and resign our own” principal but resigning players that no one else wants to cheap deals are not making the team better.
