AFC North: Trent Richardson's Lawsuit, Free Agency News, & Dwight Freeney update

Cleveland Browns runningback Trent Richardson is facing a civil suit for allegedly assaulting two women last December. The lawsuit claims Richardson, his brother Tyrell, Richardson’s girlfriend, and two others verbally and physically abused the two women, as well as causing $1,500 in damages to one of the victim’s vehicles.

After the Cleveland Browns opted not to re-sign tight end Ben Watson, they were left with a significant hole at that position, as the only TE on the roster is Jordan Cameron, fourth-round pick in 2011 who has only 26 receptions in limited playing time over the past two seasons.

The team announced Friday that the’d signed Kellen Davis, a free agent from the Chicago Bears, to a one-year deal. Davis had previously visited with the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason,

They’re also pursuing free agent linebacker Victor Butler,  lefts his visit with New Orleans Saints without a contract. Butler will now visit with the Browns on Monday.

Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh has indicated that defensive lineman Haloti Ngata will play more true nose tackle moving forward.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are showing interest in free agent defensive end Dwight Freeney, who visited the Denver Broncos this week, but left without a contract offer. As of now, Freeney doesn’t have a visit with Pittsburgh setup. The Ravens are also showing interest in Freeney.
