NFL Free Agency: Tony Romo's Record-Setting Extension

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement on a 6 year extension to make him the highest paid player in franchise history, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal reportedly contains even more guaranteed money than the six-year, $120.6 million contract that Joe Flacco got from the Ravens.

The Buffalo Bills are interested in free agent quarterback Kevin Kolb after missing out on a trade for Matt Flynn today.

The New Orleans Saints signed Cowboys free agent defensive end Kenyon Coleman.

The Chicago Bears signed former New York Jets guard Matt Slauson to a one-year contract.

Free agent JaMarcus Russell is still planning to conduct a Pro Day this offseason as he attempts to make a comeback after being one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

The New York Times has a, interesting story on how the Federal Communication Commission’s proposal to auction off airwave space utilized by wireless microphone users is drawing pushback from numerous groups, including the NFL.
