Arguably the best defensive back left on the market was cornerback Brent Grimes, who just one year ago was designated the Atlanta Falcons’ franchise tag, but tore an Achilles tendon in the first week of the 2013 regular season, killing his true value for this offseason. Now, he has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins:
Grimes deal has $5 million in base money, $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses.$2.25 million signing bonus.$750,000 of salary guaranteed.

Mike Jurecki of XTRA Phoenix reports the Arizona Cardinals are looking into trading for Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer. They’d like to trade for him in order to ensure they get him, vs. letting the Raiders cut him and risk losing him to another team. The Cardinals would need Palmer to rework his contract and the only picks they’re willing to give up would be conditional ones based on play time and performance.
Free agent cornerback Mike Jenkins visited the Jacksonville Jaguars , and received a contract offer. He’ll now take trips to the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills.
