The San Francisco 49ers have solidified their secondary by agreeing to terms with cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on a one-year contract. Asomugha was viewed as one of the best free agent DBs on the market, as he’s just 32 and will go back to a defense that prefers press-man coverage, the style he thrived in while he was an All-Pro with the Oakland Raiders. He’s spent the past two seasons with the Eagles playing zone coverage, and struggled mightily at making the adjustment.

Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Pat White is attempting an NFL comeback, and he’ll get his chance with the Washington Redskins, as he’s expected to sign a one-year deal on Wednesday.

The Washington Post reports the Redskins remain interested in free agent cornerback Antoine Winfield despite re-signing DeAngelo Hall yesterday.
