The Bengals are continuing to kick the tires on as many free agents as they can to establish backup plans prior to the NFL Draft. In the event that they don’t land the prospects they’re targeting, they’ll have some veteran players on speed dial they can call to fill out the roster.
Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Akeem Jordan is visiting the Bengals today, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
In six NFL seasons, Jordan has recorded 262 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and seven pass deflections.
Last season, he started seven games last season for the Eagles, playing in 14, and had 44 tackles and two forced fumbles. In 342 snaps last year, he finished with a -1.7 grade by Pro Football Focus.
Don’t expect to see Jordan sign a deal with the Bengals before the NFL Draft, but he could be a nice addition prior to training camp.
