With the NFL Draft now three days away, teams are still permitted to hold private workouts with prospects, and the Bengals are doing just that with a player who may be their first selection of this year’s draft:
Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is putting FIU S Jonathan Cyprien through a last-minute private workout today.

If you’ve kept track, this was in the works for a few weeks now, so this didn’t exactly come out of left field. It is interesting to see that Cyprien will likely be the last safety prospect that the Bengals see prior to Thursday, and it may be a sign they wanted to get one final look at him before drafting him with the 21st-overall pick, as he is almost certain to still be on the board at that point.
Still, if Andre Smith is unsigned Thursday night with the Bengals on the clock, it will be hard to not address that, especially if Alabama’s D.J. Fluker is still on the board.
As of now, here’s my guess of the favorites for the 21st-pick:
1. Jonathan Cyprien
2. Arthur Brown
3. D.J. Fluker
4. Alec Ogletree
