Cleveland Browns: The Cleveland Browns were the 6th pick and chose OLB/DE Barkevious Mingo. While it was a little bit of a reach, it was still a decent pick, but not expected. Mingo is a very talented LB and will definitely help out that growing defense. Although a linebacker was not a need for the Browns, they still decided to go ahead and take him. Dee Milliner made more sense here, but Mingo definitely will make their LB corp more solid.

The biggest knock on Mingo, however, is his work ethic. Once you put on some tape, you can see Mingo flat out give up on some games. Not plays, full out games. If he’s not disciplined, he could end up being a huge bust for the Browns, and they can’t afford that.  Barkevious Mingo has talent, there’s no doubt about that, there’s just some doubt about his work ethic.

Grade: C+
