NFL News: Chiefs Trade Javier Arenas. Bryant McKinni Visits Chargers

The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to trade fullback Anthony Sherman to the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback Javier Arenas. Sherman , a fifth-round pick in 2011 and seldom-used FB, goes to KC for Arenas, a second-round pick in 2010, who is a decent slot-corern and return-man. He played a career-high 724 snaps last season, but graded out as the 51st-best corner in Pro Football Focus’ ratings. Arenas is also entering the final year of his contract.

After the San Diego Chargers had a good visit with free agent tackle Bryant McKinni yesterday, the Union-Tribune San Diego’s Kevin Acee believes there’s a “very good chance” the Chargers sign McKinnie. He is remaining in San Diego overnight to continue his two-day visit, and has already concluded a visit with the Miami dolphins this week.

Tennessee Titans tackle David Stewart is still recovering from a broken leg suffered last season, and now says he probably won’t be ready for May OTAs.
