Remember when everyone criticized the Seattle Seahawks last year fro drafting West Virginia defensive end/linebacker Bruce Irvin with the 15th pick of the 1st round? A big reason for that were chartacter concnerns, highlighted by his DUI arrest a month prior to the NFL Draft.
He did silence critics from a performance standpoint as he racked up 8 sacks and was named to the PFW/PFWA 2012 All-Rookie team, but his character concerns appear to be rearing their ugly head:
Seahawks DE Bruce Irvin has been suspended four games for violating NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Ironically, Irvin became the highest selected West Virginia Mountaineer since Adam Jones in 2005. Maybe Jones would be willing to help his fellow Mountaineer out, giving how much trouble he was frequently in during his first 6 years in the NFL. Even though it’d PED-related, Jones knows all about overcoming a troubled past to thrive in the NFL. If you recall, he spoke at the NFL rookie symposium last year(which Irvin attended) about how he was able to overcome his troubled past and become one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals.
There is also a potentially deeper issue here, as Irvin reportedly failed because of Adderall use, something his fellow Seahawks have been dinged for:
Brandon Browner, Winston Guy, John Moffitt, Bruce Irvin, Richard Sherman all been suspended/suspected of PEDs. Officially a problem in SEA
