1. Mean Joe Greene (Steelers)

It seems fitting that one of those old Steelers made Number 1 on one of the list for all time greats. Throughout the 1970s, he was the most dominant and most feared players in the NFL. He was the leader and anchor of the Steel Curtain that won four Super Bowls and is considered one of the greatest defenses ever. He played in 10 Pro Bowls throughout his career, which would end with 78.5 sacks, 2 Defensive Player of the Year honors, 8 All Pro Selections, and a lot more honors. He is in both the College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fames.
