If you carefully scan the article, you’ll notice the name of one Chris Pressley is absent. It’s possible that Pressley lands on PUP to start the season, but with Jay Gruden wanting to add more weapons to the offense, he may opt to go with Orson Charles and Alex Smith as H-backs instead of a true fullback like Pressley.

He also lists running back Bernard Scott as candidate for the PUP list as he rehabs from ACL surgery. I love this idea. Take 3-4 other backs into the season, and by Week 6 when Scott is eligible to come off of the list, one of those guys will have likely suffered an injury significant enough to warrant placing them on the IR, and have Scott pick up the slack.

As for the defensive backs, he lists cornerbacks Brandon Ghee & Shaun Prater & safety George Iloka as questionable to make the 53-man. OF the three, I think iloka has the better chance of making the team. He still has more room to grow and plays a position which is a huge question mark for the Bengals right now. Ghee will need to have one of the best training camps of any DB, as his injury past will make the coaches weary of giving him a spot on the 53-man, only to have him get hurt and land on the IR as he’s done so many times in his young career.
