Day 3 of training camp is here for the Bengals, and speaking of the number 3, between Chris Pressley, Orson Charles and John Conner, those 3 are likely competing for 1 roster spot. With Pressley on the mend as he recovers from last season’s knee injury, Charles and Connor made sure their presence was felt today:

Andy Dalton continues to throw the ball well, and is giving undrafted rookie Roy Roundtree a chance to showcase his skills:

Dalton knows he has to take command of this offense in Year 3, and he’s already said as much:

I think I’ve really taken control of this offense. I’m doing everything they ask me to do.

And Marvin Lewis has already made it know that Sunday’s practice will feature the greatest football drill ever created: The Oklahoma Drill:

Lewis has set the date for Sunday on the Paul Brown Stadium practice fields in a 3 p.m. workout and it’s pretty basic and brutal and done only once all season. An offensive blocker lines up in an alley with a defender across from him and a ball carrier behind him. The whistle goes and we’re live.

“It’s tradition,” defensive tackle Domata Peko said before Saturday’s practice.
