Godspeed young man.
The Cincinnati Bengals got a scare when their All-Pro receiver and arguably best WR in the NFL, A.J. Green, went down with a leg injury during the team’s first practice, but it turned out to be a minor bone bruise. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin might not have been so lucky, as he was carted off the field during Saturday’s practice with a possible knee or leg injury, according to Beat Writer Jeff McLane:
Jason Peters came over and tapped on the leg as Maclin was carted off. Does not look good. — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) July 27, 2013
Didn’t see Maclin go down (just caught him on back) but eyewitnesses say he took a few steps off line of scrim and just collapsed. — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) July 27, 2013
A serious injury to Maclin would be bad news for the Eagles after he led the team in receptions (69), yards (857) and touchdown catches (7) in 2012. None of this information paints a pretty picture. Stay tuned for an update.
Buffalo Bills General Manager Doug Whaley said the “lines of communication are open” between the team and free safety Jairus Byrd, who hasn’t signed his franchise tag tender and also has yet to report for the start of training camp.
As of now, there is no timeline for houston Texans running back Arian Foster to come off the active/PUP list, according to the Houston Chronicle. foster is recovering from an offseason calf injury. Foster leads the NFL in touches over the past three seasons, and led the NFL in 2012 rushing attempts.
