The Philadelphia Eagles have already lost wide receiver Jeremy Maclin to a season-ending ACL tear, and the Baltimore Ravens are now holding their breaths regarding the status of Pro Bowl tight end Dennis Pitta:
Tight end Dennis Pitta carted off the field after collision with safety James Ihedigbo. Injury and severity unknown

While carted off the field, Dennis Pitta had a towel draped over his face. Unclear if that was frustration or due to head-related injury — Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) July 27, 2013
TE Dennis Pitta has a dislocated hip. Will miss at least the Denver game.

There are reports suggesting Pitta will be out as long as six weeks.
The Ravens are also having to deal with a pair of players engaging in multiple fights:
Terrence cody and gino gradkowski squared off twice in brawls cody gets a takedown and gradkowski landed some punches fight quelled — Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) July 27, 2013
The Cleveland Browns are also apparently dealing with a serious injury:
#browns player carted to ambulance. team has asked not to identify until family notified.

The injured Brown is offensive lineman Ryan Miller.
This has been a very bad day for the NFL in general. You never want to see this many players injured, let alone in the first week of training camp. Most of these teams are only conducting their first or second practice.
