2nd team

QB Josh Johnson

RB Dan Herron/Rex Burkhead, FB John Conner

WR’s Cobi Hamilton, Ryan Whalen/Brandon Tate

TE Alex Smith

LT Tanner Hawkinson, LG Trevor Robinson, C TJ Johnson, RG Mike Pollack, RT Dennis Roland/Ried Fragel

The next offensive group will be a little harder to figure out. Some of the players who ran with the ones are also expected to run with the second team. QB Josh Johnson will lead the 2nd team with Dan Herron holding off Rex Burkhead at RB, but Burkhead should get some reps with the two’s. Cobi Hamilton has had a solid camp and could really shine in the preseason.

The unfortunate Andrew Hawkins injury is going to give a bump up to some of the receivers like Ryan Whalen and Dane Sanzenbacher looking for increased reps. With Anthony Collins filling in for Andrew Whitworth on the 1st team, promising rookie Tanner Hawkinson should see the second team snaps at LT.

Trevor Robinson has been working at LG and splitting center reps with TJ Johnson. Dennis Roland is fighting to stay on his scholarship that has lasted too long and Ried Fragel could pass him up, but for now Roland will be the second RT.
