Still, they’ll have to go though a Colts team that is taking on the AFC by storm. With a year under his belt, sophomore quarterback Andrew Luck will be gunning for the playoffs again. This time, I would be surprised if the team doesn’t have eyes set on the division title. It’s certainly within reach.
The Titans have battled over the last few years merely to stay average, so I don’t expect any surprises from Tennessee. I like Jake Locker under center, and the Titans have surrounded the young man with some reliable weapons during the offseason. Now the team will see if they did enough to fill some holes in the porous defense we all saw last year.
They have pieces, but it’ll take some time to put it all together.
The Jaguars still have Blaine Gabbert as a quarterback, and as long as he is, I don’t think the team is going to go very far. Living close to Jacksonville, I’ve had the opportunity to watch the quarterback in action. He simply doesn’t have a leader’s confidence in the pocket, and I don’t see a successful NFL future for him. At least not a starting role.
Houston Texans: 11-5
Indianapolis Colts: 10-6
Tennessee Titans: 6-10
Jacksonville Jaguars: 3-13
