That game will prove to be a good preseason test for both Green and Whitworth. Green will likely be covered by Pro Bowl cornerback Brandon Carr, or the up-and-coming Morris Claiborne. Whitworth will face the likes of defensive ends DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer( if he’s healthy) coming off the edge, as they make up one of the top DE-tandems in the league.
Green finished this past season with 97 receptions for 1,350 yards and 11 touchdowns and made the Pro Bowl for the second time in just his second season while also being named to the NFL All-Pro team.
Whitworth was named as a left tackle to the AFC Pro Bowl team this past season.
The Bengals will need both of them healthy and on the field if they ever want to accomplish their goals and make a run in the playoffs this year.
