Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin suffered a head injury last during the teams’ 25-21 preseason loss to the New England Patriots, and trainers immediately began treating it as a potential concussion. It doesn’t appear as though the injury is that serious:

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will make his preseason debut on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. The Pro Bowl wideout is entering a contract season after he and the giants have been unable to strike a long-term deal to this point. Nicks missed the Giants’ first preseason game with a groin injury that has been bothering him since the start of training camp.

Tennessee Titans safety Bernard pollard is regarded as one of the hardest hitting defenders in the NFL today, and already he’s drawn a fine for a personal foul penalty he drew the previous week.

Despite a crowded backfield in Denver, Broncos running back C.J. Anderson has manged to generate some buzz during training camp, but all of that momentum may have come to a screeching halt Thursday after he was carted off of the practice field today with a right MCL sprain that will sideline him for at least one month.
