The Bengals wrapped up their second preseason game last night, and by all accounts, they came out of the game without any significant injuries.

The team did get an early scare in the first quarter after Andy Dalton was hit during his 22-yard pass to Mohamed Sanu that set up the first touchdown of the game.

On the play, Dalton appeared to have sprained his ankle, and was limping gingerly to the sideline after the play was initially ruled a TD.

But after a booth review reversed the call and the ball was spotted at the 1-yard line, Dalton came back into the game with his ankle taped up, and handed the ball off to Giovani Bernard as he punched it in for the score.

After the game, Dalton had this to say on the injury:

How’s the ankle?
“It’s all right.”

You’re going to be a little sore tomorrow, aren’t you? You got hit out there a few times:
“I did. It’s the first time in a while that I got hit. It’s good to get the rust knocked off a little bit. It’s part of the game.”
