The Baltimore Ravens have shored up their backfield depth by acquiring running back Delone Carter from the Indianpolis Colts in exchange for wide receiver David Reed. Carter is entering his third season and was slated to be the Colts’ fourth running back behind Vick Ballard, Donald Brown and Ahmad Bradshaw. Last season, Carter played in 10 games last year and rushed 32 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns.
The fourth-round pick out of Syracuse in 2011 has been used sparingly in his career after a promising rookie campaign that saw him run for 377 yards and score two touchdowns.
Reed was though to be in the mix for a spot in the top-4 of the Ravens receiver rotation, but apparently had fallen out of favor with them.
