Bengals open up 2nd-half with Gio-show

Aug 24, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard (25) runs with the ball against the Dallas Cowboys in the first quarter at AT

After a sloppy first-half that left the Bengals trailing 14-7 at halftime, the majority of the first team offense came out and drove right down the field on the strength of their newfound running game behind rookie Giovani Bernard. After a first-half that saw BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Giovani have a combined 14 yards rushing on eight carries, the Bengals focused on running the ball with Bernard, who got two-straight carries for 24 yards.

After a 26-yd catch by Green put the Bengals at the DAL-16, the offense stalled, and Quinn Sharp booted in a chippy cut the deficit to 14-10. From there on out, the backups finished the game

As of now, Bernard has 56 yards on 8 touches.
