Andrew Hawkins sheds walking boot. Whitworth looks good for opener

The Bengals got some good news today on the injury front, as slot-receiver Andrew Hawkins appears to be progressing in his rehab from his foot injury enough to the point he’s shed his walking boot:

 

 

 

 

The news is unfortunately not as good for left tackle Andrew Whitworth, who is still trying to rehab from offseason knee surgery, but it’s safe to say there may have been a complication at some point, though Marvin LEwis is confident he’ll be ready for the opener:
