Dress rehearsal is over, the starters have had their time to shake off the rust and prepare for the season. This is the biggest day to a majority of the players on the Bengals roster, the 4th preseason game. This is where players separate themselves from the bubble and make their way onto the 53 man squad, where some show other teams they are worthy to be picked to, where others show they should be on the Bengals practice squad.

Tonight is when questions must be answered, whether positively or negatively. Here are six players to watch tonight to help get a better understanding as to where they are and if they should be here or not.

1. Taylor Mays

With George Iloka injured, Mays had the perfect opportunity to showcase his talent and show he deserves to be on the roster. He did well in the beginning, and then fell off and was completely inconsistent. He struggled against the pass, but occasionally came up with a good hit. Overall, Mays played poorly and needs to have a good game tonight or else he could be gone.

The NFL is a league where they ask ‘what have you done for me lately?’, and Mays needs to answer that tonight. Being a former 2nd round pick is fancy and all, but he has to show it on the field. Tonight could be his last chance for this team.
