No, the Cincinnati Bengals aren’t bringing in former New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, but they could be looking to a former Jet to fill their final practice squad spot.
According to Jason La Canfora with CBSSports.com, Greg McElroy is currently working on an injury settlement with the Jets, who released the former Alabama Crimson Tide QB on Saturday, and he could join the Bengals soon:
Greg McElroy cleared waivers. working on INJ settlement w/Jets who wanted him back later. Likely to sign to CIN practice squad #CBSKickOff

Ex-Jets QB Greg McElroy flying to Cincy tomorrow, destined for their practice squad. From there, we’ll see.

McElroy, a seventh-round pick in 2011, had been listed consistently as third on the team’s depth chart, but did come off the bench to pull out a win over the Arizona Cardinals late last year.
He was later given the starting nod, but after he was sacked 11 times by the San Diego Chargers and suffered a concussion, it effectively ended his season, which saw him complete 19/31 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown, one interception and a lost fumble.
And if that were to fall through, perhaps they’ve got a backup plan already:
I’m told a certain AFC North team is considering a waiver claim for Tyler Wilson. — Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) September 1, 2013
