Browns claim two running backs off waivers, including former Hilltopper Bobby Rainey

The Browns moved quickly to address their need for reserve running backs by reportedly claiming Bobby Rainey and Dennis Johnson off waivers Sunday.

The Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson, citing a league source, said the 5-foot-8, 212-pound Rainey is headed to Berea after being one of the Baltimore Ravens final roster cuts. Baltimore had hoped to add Western Kentucky product to its practice squad.

The Houston Texans wanted to do the same with Johnson, a 5-7, 196-pound undrafted rookie out of Arkansas.
