With reports coming out last night that the Cincinnati Bengals were bracing for the worst concerning an injury that veteran defensive end Robert Geathers suffered during Monday night’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As it stands, the team is already working out a number of players, but may already have someone in mind to re-sign:

May end up re-signing Miles — Geoff Hobson (@GeoffHobsonCin) September 18, 2013
Would expect there to be a couple of #Bengals moves announced soon. Jeromy Miles and Tony Dye both in the locker room

In case you missed it, Miles was cut just hours before the Monday night game in order to call-up J.K. Schaffer from the practice squad to upgrade the Bengals’ thin linebacking corps.
If the team does re-sign Miles, or any player for that matter, it may be a sign the team is preparing to put Geathers on the season-ending injured reserve list.
It would be a bit odd for the Bengals to opt for a safety over a DE though, considering that Margus Hunt is the only other DE on the roster, and every indication is the Bengals want to let him develop this year rather than be forced into action.
