The Arizona Cardinals officially announced Monday afternoon that outside linebackers Lorenzo Alexander (foot) and Sam Acho (leg) were placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season.
To counter those moves, Dontay Moch, an outside linebacker, was promoted from the practice squad.
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Moch in the third round in 2011, but the Arizona native played in just one game last season and was inactive for all 16 games in 2011.
So, if the Bengals were planning to add a defensive end after playing just three on Sunday, it won’t be Moch. Good for him though. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and live up to his potential.
