Geno Atkins, the $55 million dollar man, has been just average so far in 2013. He has been getting some run stopping pressure up the middle, but looks to be getting blocked rather easily in a one on one situation.
Atkins just appears to be less physical at the point of attack and not imposing his will like we’ve seen in the past. Does this mean he is done? Absolutely not. One thing Geno Atkins is, is a pro. He will bounce back and continue to step his game up and really get after the quarterback, starting this week in Cleveland.
The Bengals front four generally do well against the Browns, and with Brian Hoyer making his second start at quarterback, look for Atkins to get right back on track.
